Last Tour won the Excellence Award at the prestigious Iberian Festival Awards, which recognizes the company’s career path in creating and organising live music festivals. The contest’s jury grants this award.

The Iberian Festival Awards celebrated its seventh edition this past weekend at the Grande Auditório do Fórum da Maia, in Porto, at a gala in which both a jury and public vote awarded contributions and achievements made by festivals held between January and December 2022 on the Iberian Peninsula. Last Tour and its festivals picked up 7 awards in total.

A public vote decided the rest of the awards received by Last Tour’s festivals. Bilbao BBK Live won Best Major Festival. This is one of the leading festivals on the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe, featuring highly sought-after national and international artists and a privileged natural setting that hosts up to 12 stages.

Last year, Last Tour premiered two new festivals, Cala Mijas: the perfect end to summer, a 3-day festival located on the Costa del Sol, surrounded by beach, sun, and sea, and MEO Kalorama, its first festival in Portugal, where it debuted in style in Lisbon’s Parque da Bela Vista. Both events received the public vote for Best New Festival in Spain and Portugal, respectively. According to the attending public’s vote, the Best Live Performance in 2022 also took place at both festivals; Arctic Monkeys at Cala Mijas and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds at MEO Kalorama.

The work done by BIME was also recognised by the contest, winning the award for Best Professional Event in Spain. BIME is the music industry’s essential international meeting place for professionals and music lovers. Headquartered in Europe and America, it is also a bridge of cooperation and internationalisation between continents.
