Brian Molko and Stefan Olsden’s band is set to go on Thursday July 9th. They join a program featuring an exclusive Kendrick Lamar appearance in addition to The Killers, Pet Shop Boys, FKA twigs, Bad Bunny, Caribou, The Rapture, Supergrass, Bomba Estéreo, and a long list of A-grade names. Single- and three-day passes are available at a special price until next Tuesday January 14th.
Bilbao BBK Live kicks off the year announcing a colossal name for its 2020 edition: Britons Placebo. The six years since the release of Loud Like Love, their latest work to date, have seemed like an eternity, but at long last we’ve gotthem back and get to enjoy them live once again.
Single-day tickets for that day and Friday and Saturday, as well as the full-festival passes, are now available and can be purchased at a special discount until 11:59PM next Tuesday, January 14th.
Placebo subjoin the afore-announced Kendrick Lamar, in his only concert on Spanish soil, sure to be one of the cultural highlights of the year; Pet Shop Boys, with the first Greatest Hits show in the band’s history; The über-anticipated Killers, with a new album and at the crowning height of their career; the authoress of what has unanimously been hailed by critics as 2019’s album of the year, FKA twigs; and the artist who’s become hands down one of the most influential in the international panorama beyond genre, language, or style, Bad Bunny; along with Colombians Bomba Estéreo. Other big names, such as Perfume Genius and Caribou will likewise be presenting new work at Kobetamendi—further set to be the scene of two long-awaited reunions: Supergrass and The Rapture.
On the national front, we’ll have some of the acts topping every best-of-the-year list from this freshly finished 2019, such as León Benavente and La Bien Querida; nor will we miss the premier of some of 2020’s most highly anticipated albums, like works from El Columpio Asesino and Triángulo de Amor Bizarro. There will also be space for new talent responsible for the most positive buzz over the last twelve months, including Califato ¾, María José Llergo, Omago, and Erik Urano.
With the programs for our more electronica-oriented stages Basoa and Lasai yet to be revealed, we’ve still got plenty of surprises in store for the 15th edition of Bilbao BBK Live, taking place at Kobetamendi, Bilbao on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of July, 2020.
As in previous years, our campground enjoys a privileged location at the summit of Mount Arraiz, perfect for nature-lovers attending the festival from beyond Bilbao. For your convenience, the festival website offers the option of organized trips.
